Intended for
The leader of a Fire-fighting and Rescue team on board a vessel.
Objectives
To train the participant in leading a Fire-fighting and Rescue team on board a vessel during exercises and actual incidents.
Course content
- Theory in fire prevention and fire-fighting en the use of fire-fighting equipment and installations and recognition of hazardous materials.
- Theory and practical training in the use of Personal Protective Equipment such as Breathing Apparatus and searching for victims.
- Theory and practical training in the tasks of a Fire-fighting and Rescue team.
- Organizing and evaluating exercises.
- Inspection and maintenance of fire-fighting equipment, installation and gear.
- Theory and practical training in life saving first aid.
- Practical fire-fighting training in various situations.
- Written test, must be completed with satisfactory results.
Course details
Prerequisite training
The course participant must be in the possession of a valid certificate Basic Safety Training, STCW A -VI 1. You must submit a copy of this certificate by e-mail before the start of the course.
Medical requirement(s)
The course participant must be in the possession of a valid seafarers medical certificate. You must submit a copy of the medical certificate by e-mail before the start of the course.
