Intended for
Seafarers who need to refresh their mandatory courses according the international convention on Standards of Training Certification and Watch keeping for seafarers STCW 2010.
Objectives
Refresh the competences and skills of the participants in Basic Safety Training STCW A-VI / 1 (table 1 - 4) en Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats STCW A-VI / 2 - 1.
Course content
- Fire prevention and fire fighting, including the use of breathing apparatus.
- Elementary first aid and transport of casualties.
- Don and use an immersion suit, Personal and group survival techniques.
- Manage survivors and survival craft after abandoning ship.
- Take charge of a survival craft and rescue boat during and after launch.
Course details
Prerequisite training
The course participant must be in the possession of valid certificates of the STCW; BT and PSCRB. These certificates may not be older than 5 years at the start of the refresher course. You must submit a copy of these certificates by e-mail before the start of the course.
Medical requirement(s)
The delegate must be in the possession of a valid seafarers medical certificate. You must submit a copy of the medical certificate by e-mail before the start of the course.
